Free, Premium or Premium Plus? What Each Hamuwemu Plan Includes

Hamuwemu is free to use, with two paid plans for members who want more. Here's what Free, Premium and Premium Plus each include, what they cost, and how to upgrade or cancel.

Short answerHamuwemu's Free plan has what you need to meet someone safely: verification, matching, up to 30 likes a day, messaging with your matches and up to 5 voice calls a day. Hamuwemu Premium (LKR 299 a month on Google Play) adds unlimited likes and voice calls, video calls, voice notes, photo sharing and more. Premium Plus (LKR 499 a month) removes the limits on video calls and adds a business page. You can cancel any time in Google Play.

Most of what matters on Hamuwemu costs nothing. You can verify your profile, match, chat and call your matches without paying, and every safety tool is free on every plan. The paid plans are for members who want more ways to connect.

The Free plan: everything you need to start

Free isn't a trial, and it doesn't run out. It includes:

**Verification for everyone. **A trained member of our team reviews every member's selfie before they can send their first message. Here's how verification works.
Discovery and matching, with up to 30 likes a day.
Text messaging with your matches.
Up to 5 voice calls a day with your matches, made inside the app, so you never have to share your phone number to talk.
Report, block and account deletion, for everyone.
Free suits you if you're new, taking things slowly, or would rather have a few good conversations than a lot of swiping. Thirty likes a day goes a long way when you read each profile before you like it.

Premium: LKR 299 a month

Hamuwemu Premium is for members who are talking to people and want more ways to get to know them. It includes everything in Free, plus:

Unlimited likes and 3 Super Likes a day.
Voice notes and photo sharing in chat, plus read receipts.
Unlimited voice calls and 3 video calls a day, each up to 10 minutes, so you can see each other before you meet.
Advanced search filters and search by name.
See who has liked you and who has viewed you.
One profile boost a month and priority placement in matching, to help more people see your profile.
Photo Privacy. Your photos are blurred for members you haven't matched with. It's off until you turn it on.
Premium suits you if you're chatting with a few people and want to hear and see them before you meet, or if you'd like only your matches to see your photos.

Premium Plus: LKR 499 a month

Premium Plus includes everything in Premium, plus:

Video calls with no daily limit and no time limit.
5 Super Likes a day instead of 3.
5 profile boosts a month instead of 1.
A professional or business page. It's a separate, optional page for offering a lawful service, such as photography, tutoring or event planning, kept apart from your personal profile. Every page is reviewed before it goes live, under our Professional Services Policy.
Premium Plus suits you if long video calls are how you get to know someone, for example when one of you lives in another city or abroad, or if you offer a service and want a business page. Boosts apply to your personal profile, not to a business page.

Which plan is right for you?

Free: you're new, taking it slowly, or happy with a few calls a day.
Premium: you're talking to a few people and want video calls before you meet, or you'd like only your matches to see your photos.
Premium Plus: you rely on long video calls, or you want a business page.

What stays free on every plan

Safety is never behind a paywall. On every plan, including Free, you get:

Verification, with every member's selfie reviewed by a person before their first message.
Voice calls inside the app, so you can talk without sharing your phone number.
Report a concern, block someone, and delete your account whenever you choose.

Monthly subscription or prepaid month?

On Google Play, you can pay for Premium or Premium Plus in two ways:

Monthly subscription. It renews each month at the current price until you cancel. There's no minimum term beyond the month you're in.
Prepaid month. A one-time payment for one month that never renews. To keep going, buy a top-up: it's charged straight away and adds a full month to the time you have left.
There are no free trials or introductory prices. Google Play shows the full price, including applicable taxes, before you pay, and that's what you pay. To switch between a monthly subscription and a prepaid month, let the current one end, then buy the other.

How to upgrade

In the app, open Settings, then Subscription, and choose a plan. Before you confirm, the purchase screen shows the plan, how long it lasts, the full price and the renewal price. If anything there is unclear, don't buy: email support@hamuwemu.lk and we'll explain.

How to cancel on Google Play

You can cancel any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep your paid features until the end of the month you've paid for.

Open the Google Play app and tap your profile icon.
Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
Tap Hamuwemu, then Cancel subscription, and confirm.
You can also cancel at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. In the app, Settings > Subscription > Manage subscription takes you to the same page.

Uninstalling the app doesn't cancel your subscription. Deleting your Hamuwemu account isn't a reliable way to cancel either, so turn off renewal in Google Play first; the app reminds you and links to the right page. If a renewal is charged after you've deleted your account, email support@hamuwemu.lk with the order number and it will be refunded.
Can't get into your Google account? Email support@hamuwemu.lk from your account email with “Cancel” in the subject line. Any renewal charged after your request arrives is refunded.
After you cancel, you move to Free at the end of your paid month. Your profile, photos, matches and messages stay as they are, and you can subscribe again any time.
Photo Privacy stays on until you turn it off. Once it's off, you'll need a paid plan to turn it on again.

Coming to iPhoneHamuwemu is on Google Play now, and the iPhone app is coming soon. On the App Store, prices are set per country and charged in US dollars in Sri Lanka, so your bank may add a conversion fee. You'll cancel in Settings > your name > Subscriptions, and Apple handles App Store refunds.

Refunds, in short

We always refund a duplicate charge, a renewal charged after you cancelled in time, a Google Play renewal charged after you deleted your account, and a paid feature that didn't work and wasn't fixed within a reasonable time. Changing your mind after using paid features, or forgetting to cancel before a renewal, usually isn't refunded.
To ask, use Request a refund or Report a problem in your Google Play order history, or email support@hamuwemu.lk with your Google Play order number (it starts with GPA), the date and amount, and what went wrong. Never send card details, PINs or passwords. The full rules are in our Refund Policy.

If prices change
If a monthly price ever goes up, we'll tell you by email and in the app at least 30 days before it applies, with the new price, the date of the first renewal at that price and how to cancel. A price rise never applies to a month you've already paid for.
