A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can recognise your browser from one page, or one visit, to the next. Apps can do something similar with device identifiers and code supplied by other companies. This notice covers both.

Every cookie on the website is strictly necessary: without it the site would not work or would not be secure. Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent.

The website sets no other cookies. It runs no analytics and no advertising or social media tracking.

• No cookies, and no advertising identifier.
• A push notification token, issued through Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging, so we can send notifications to your device.
• A random install identifier, used only to check whether a fix is available for the app. It is not an advertising identifier and is not linked to your account.
• A device sign-in identifier, so that your account stays signed in on one phone at a time. This one is linked to your account. It is not an advertising identifier and is not shown to other members.
• Usage analytics that we record ourselves — which screens and features you use — with no third-party analytics company involved. This is on by default and you can turn it off with the switch in Settings; once it is off, our database does not record these events for your account. The Privacy Policy explains it in full.

• No advertising or retargeting, on the website or in the app.
• No third-party analytics.
• No sale of personal data, and no sharing with data brokers.
• No cross-site or cross-app tracking. Because we do not track you, the app has no reason to ask for tracking permission.

The companies whose technology is used, and where they process data, are listed at hamuwemu.lk/service-providers.

• In your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking the Turnstile cookie may stop the sign-up check from completing.
• In the app. Usage analytics and notifications are controlled in Settings in the app, and notifications also in your device's settings.

If we ever introduce a cookie or technology that is not strictly necessary, we will update this notice first and ask for your consent before it is used. The date at the top tells you which version you are reading.
